Neal's career has spanned several industries, with the common thread of developing and executing strategies that drive growth in revenue, margin, and shareholder value.
These days, Neal provides strategy consulting to CEOs in the retail, consumer services, and restaurant industries, and to private equity firms that invest in these businesses. Prior to launching his consultancy, Neal served in president roles at Panera Bread and Dunkin’ Brands and led a venture capital group at Fidelity Investments. Current and recent board positions include Wetzel’s Pretzels, Lifespace Communities (chair), Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen (chair), Hissho Sushi, and Louisville Brands.
After graduation, Neal went on to receive his M.B.A. from the Business School and was a post-graduate fellow at London School of Economics. He lives in Dallas, Texas. D. Stone Distinguished Chair in Socio-Economic Inequality at CUNY since it was established in 2021.
