Please join us for a Lunch With meetup, a (virtual) meal with a classmate. Our March 2025 guest will be Amy Newmark, author, editor-in-chief, and publisher of the Chicken Soup for the Soul book series.

From Wall Street to best-selling author: in addition to discussing her journey so far, Amy will be able to share information for those of us who would like to be published.

Since 2008 Amy has published more than 200 new books, most of them national bestsellers. At Harvard she majored in Portuguese and minored in French, then worked as a Wall Street analyst, a hedge fund manager, and a corporate executive in the technology field.

Amy’s honors thesis involved traveling throughout Brazil’s northeast region, collecting stories from regular people. She is delighted to have come full circle in her writing, from collecting stories “from the people” in Brazil as a twenty-year-old to, decades later, collecting stories “from the people” for Chicken Soup for the Soul.
